It's time to move on

When little things make you really mad
But  still no one bothers to asks you why you are sad

when you sit together , but there is nothing to talk
he is 10 steps ahead , when you walk

When you check your phone and there is no missed call
When there is no hand to steady you, when you trip and fall

When was the last time he held your hand?
Or pampered you and said " your wish is my command"?

When you get no compliments for your new dress
When pending work gives you no stress

All the arguments give you sleepless nights
And all you remember are the bitter fights

You cry all night and no one asks you what's wrong
You tend to question yourself " is this where I belong" ?

When to others , your own life you compare
You wonder what happened to all the love and care

Where did All those promises of " being together "disappear?
Minute seems like day and  a day seems like a year

When old memories bring more tears than joy
And deep within you feel like a broken toy

When you find yourself alone from dusk to dawn
I guess the time has come to move on

Poem My Bygone years

Those were the days my bygone years,
Beautiful memories which sometimes bring tears

My Dad was in the Army, the ‘Rakshak’ of the motherland
Putting his life in danger , he has traversed the forest and sand
Packing and moving leaving old friends behind
Off to a new place , where new friends I had to find
We made our sweet home wherever we went
Didn’t care  if it was a bungalow, barracks or a Tent
School  annual day was the Jewel in the Crown
Have tried my hand at all, from fairy ….to a clown
We would bunk classes and practice all day long
Didn’t matter if it was a play, dance or a Song
Wasn’t great in sports , but the games in charge  I would befriend
To take part in games only for the glucose we would get at the end
Waited all week for  Geetmala, Chitrahaar and Show Theme
As unlimited choice of channels was a distant dream

All evenings were spent in playing Stapoo, and Hide n Seek
games like Gulli Danda Lagori and statue Which have now become obsolete
Looking through the View Master was a great pass time
Gossiping and complaining about friends was the biggest crime
Never went to tuitions or attended any commercial class
But surprisingly, with good marks I always managed to pass
Even today the comments from all my friends in my autograph book
Gives me more pleasure than Twitter, Outlook or Facebook
